Nature and photography offer a gentle path toward healing at your own pace and without the need for words. Through these personal reflections, I invite you to slow down, embrace the quiet, and rediscover a softer way of being.
Sometimes the most beautiful moments in nature are not found in remote wilderness or spectacular landscapes. Sometimes they are right there, in a small patch of grass a few steps from home.
Every journey eventually returns to stillness.
As we move closer to the end of the Stardust journey, something begins to change.
Throughout the journey of Stardust, we have followed the unfolding of light: from the first spark emerging from darkness, to the expansion, movement, and quiet presence of countless particles existing within the vastness of space.
In the previous chapter, the energy of Stardust reached a moment of expansion. The Symphony of Light revealed the beauty that emerges when countless particles come together, moving as one within a vast and luminous rhythm.
In the first three chapters of Stardust, we followed the earliest movements of creation. We witnessed the first spark emerging from darkness, the protective space where something new could begin to form, and the moment when stillness slowly transformed into movement. In Chapter Four, that movement expands.
In the first chapters of this journey, we moved from the quiet darkness of the beginning into a space of warmth, protection, and possibility. We witnessed the first spark of light, and then the moment where that light found a place to gather and grow.
In the first chapter of this series, we entered the moment before transformation: a single spark of light beginning to emerge from the darkness. It was the beginning of a journey, a quiet moment filled with possibility before anything had fully taken shape.
Every journey begins somewhere. Whether we look at the vastness of the cosmos or the quieter landscapes of our own inner world, there is often a moment before everything takes shape. A moment of stillness, uncertainty, and possibility, where nothing is fully visible yet, but something is already beginning to emerge.
Most of my photographs begin long before I press the shutter.
In 2019, far from screens, schedules and the constant noise of everyday life, I found myself on horseback in one of the most remote corners of Mongolia.
“How does it feel to be back?”
While Antarctica felt like a journey to the absolute edge of the Earth, a fleeting moment of awe in a world where humans are merely temporary visitors, Norway felt like something entirely different. It was softer, more intimate and familiar in a way I only truly began to understand after we had left. Antarctica confronted me with scale and distance, while Norway slowly did something else. It settled around me and, over time, it became home.
"Are you a photographer, an artist, a coach, or do you do something in creative therapy?"
There are places on Earth where silence feels almost physical, and Antarctica is one of them.
We had to put in quite a bit of effort last week. They were well hidden among the greenery along the water, until the sunlight broke through and suddenly lit them up everywhere: dozens of metallic blue beautiful demoiselles. Perhaps it was exactly that search that made the moment so special. You can’t force it. You can only slow down, pay attention, and be present.
We live in a fast paced world where stress and constant focus are the norm. High pressure workplaces can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and the natural world. I believe that art has a vital role here. It is not merely decoration but a vital tool for mental clarity and emotional grounding.
The Stardust series was born from intuition and a deep curiosity about our place in the universe. It began not with a plan but with a whisper from within. In the vastness of the cosmos, I found a profound sense of comfort. A reminder that life follows rhythms of arising, disappearing, and renewing. This perspective brings reassurance to those navigating personal transitions or loss.
