#57. International Recognition for My Work: Interview with ITSLIQUID (2022 Retrospective)

Gepubliceerd op 3 augustus 2025 om 20:16

A look back at a meaningful moment in 2022

In 2022, my personal interview was published on ITSLIQUID, an international art platform that brings together artists from all over the world.

In that interview, I shared my decision to focus on comforting art - photography as a healing force, a quiet companion in times of loss and transition. I spoke about how my images come to life, how nature shapes my creative process, and how grief has given direction to my work.

"Your images are so moving and special. The interview beautifully tells the story of your path, your inspiration, and the meaning behind your work."
— one of the first responses I received

Another message came from a photography teacher in the United States, who had discovered my work through ITSLIQUID:

"Truly, your work is very inspiring! I teach photography in the U.S. and will be sharing your work with my students. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photographs with all of us."

These kinds of messages deeply move me. They confirm that my work is not only visual, but emotional - something people can feel and connect with. However personal my images may be, it’s meaningful to realise that they can also resonate across borders. That my story - about grief, comfort, and reconnecting with nature - speaks a universal language.

Art Connects

What I’ve come to understand is this: art doesn’t have to shout to be powerful. In the stillness of an image, a quiet truth can unfold - one that transcends words and cultural boundaries.

Whether you live in the Netherlands, Norway, Canada, or the U.S., grief, beauty, connection, and healing are experiences we all recognise.

I feel grateful - and proud - that my work continues to find its way to others. And that I get to share my story with anyone who’s willing to look, feel, and take a quiet moment of reflection.

Nanda Bussers is a visual artist and creator of the EARTH method for intuitive and healing nature photography. Her work explores the quiet connection between nature, presence and inner stillness. Each image is an invitation to pause for a moment, to breathe more slowly, and to reconnect with the natural world, yourself and the moments that often pass unnoticed.

Bringing the presence of nature into your space

My photographs are available as art prints through ArtHeroes and Werk aan de Muur in Europe, and as fine art prints via Fine Art America worldwide. Each piece is created to carry a sense of stillness and connection, whether it offers comfort, reflection or simply a quiet moment within a space.

In addition, I offer a selection of low-resolution images for more personal uses such as memorial or prayer cards. If you feel drawn to a specific image or would like guidance in choosing something that fits your space or intention, you are always welcome to get in touch.
