Stardust Series: A Journey from Darkness to Light

"We are all made of stardust"

In the beginning, there was nothing, only a pitch black void. About 14 billion years ago, a gargantuan explosion occurred within that nothingness: with this Big Bang, an entire universe was born.

Then, there was Darkness. Millions of years of Darkness.

After a few hundred million years, the first stars began to form. Light! From great clusters of stars, the first galaxies emerged. Variations of light. The sun, the moon, and many planets including Mother Earth revealed themselves. An infinite palette of color.

When a star dies, stardust is released. From this stardust, new stars are born. An everlasting pattern where every end is a new beginning. There is evidence that we are all made of stardust and are integral parts of an almost infinitely evolving universe.

An Awe Inspiring History: Mysterious Imagery
This genesis is reflected in the imagery of this intriguing photo series. Over time, the images transform, becoming lighter, more colorful, and more defined. Featuring extraordinary colors and contours, these abstract and sometimes mysterious forms flow into one another, creating new figures. Everlasting patterns. Nanda possesses a deep fascination for the organic dynamics found within natural imagery.

Points of Light
Distinguished by blurring, universal and deeper layers. This is what Nanda feels and sees; this is what she captures. The creation of an image that holds your gaze, in which you continue to discover. An expression of emotion, intriguing through empathy and the invitation to dream. But also, a place to find consolation and warmth, a point of light like a candle in the dark.
